CES 2012: Not content with taking on the gaming giants with its great streaming service, OnLive surprised all this week by announcing that it was getting into cloud computing in a big way, with the launch of OnLive Desktop for the iPad.

OnLive has added a subscription tier to its OnLive Deskop application for the Apple iPad, which now adds Internet Explorer 9 and access to the company's super-fast cloud internet service.

CES 2012: iPad owners will before long be able to access Windows and all the familiar Office apps on their device, with OnLive offering a streamed cloud service that it claims offers up the "first no-compromise Windows desktop" for the Apple tablet.
