Paranormal Activity
Some people think a "witch" is an ugly hag who rides a broomstick with a black cat on Halloween, casting spells, or sticking pins in voodoo dolls. In other words witchcraft, nevertheless there is much more. Witches may be men or women, pretty or ugly. They may distinguish "white magic" from "black magic." Black magic means spells, incantations, curses, etc., intended to bring harm to someone. This is viewed as bad, even by some real witches. White magic uses spells and the like to try to bring good fortune, just as producing rain, finding some lost object, bringing success in war or business, or producing a good crop. The fairy godmother in Cinderella is seen as a witch who practices white magic. Most people view her as a "good witch." Some would tell us that white magic is good because it helps people, yet only black magic is wrong because it harms people. We will see, all in all, that all sorcery and occult practices are wrong, because they come from the wrong source. The source of the power is what makes them inherently evil, regardless of the intended goal.
The family room of her red-brick home in Rockville
Sitting in the family room of her red-brick home in Rockville, surrounded by nine Himalayan cats, Jane Fandey recalls the morning nineteen years ago when she died. "’The memory is vivid, she says -- `more vivid than memories of getting married or giving birth.' Then, Fandey had an undiagnosed case of Addison's disease, a failure of the adrenal gland. Afterwards a series of fainting spells, she was admitted to Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. Before long after that, her blood pressure plummeted and disappeared. `I knew I was dying, and I was very sad to give it all up. I raised my hand to wipe the tears out of my eyes and realized I couldn't move.' As the nurse ran for help, Fandey felt herself rising out of her body and surveying the hospital room from nearly the ceiling. 'Then and there I entered an infinite blackness with no boundaries at all. I was traveling so fast. I didn't see or feel anything. However I knew I was not alone. I felt like I was going home.' She came to a stop at a fence that surrounded a bright light. Billowy clouds were floating over the fence. Gently, a spirit informed her that she could join them, or could return to her husband and two young sons. She chose to go back and instantly was returned to her hospital bed, such as the floor nurse was reviving her.
"There is one body and one Spirit, such as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is first of all, and through all and in your all".
