The UniPhyer solution from Phybridge, a company that aims to bring to market practical innovations for helping clients and partners manage their VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) installs for enhanced ROI, has been certified interoperable with Conveyant Systems’ Sentry E911 solutions.

"We are pleased to have completed certification of the UniPhyer solution from Phybridge to operate with Sentry," said Tim Kenyon, president of Conveyant Systems, a partner of E911 hosted solutions leader 911 ETC. "The integration of our two products allows vital VoIP location information, provided by the UniPhyer solution, to be available to Sentry’s Sentinel database. Having up-to-date VoIP location information is a critical piece of any comprehensive E911 solution."

Renowned as the only network switch across the globe to deliver Ethernet and power over Ethernet over a single pair of wire with reach of more than 1,200 feet, the Phybridge UniPhyer has been built to enable enterprises to leverage and change their voice infrastructure into an IP network robust enough for IP telephony deployment.

In addition, by providing a dedicated physical path for voice packets, a business’ existing data switch network is extended and gains quality of service, regardless of data network loads or health.

"The point-to-point topology of a business’ voice infrastructure, the reporting capabilities of the Phybridge UniPhyer combined with the robustness of the Sentry E911 solutions by Conveyant is a powerful combination addressing the complexities around location identification of VoIP calls in a simple, but cost-effective, manner," said Richard Kasslack, director at Phybridge. "We believe that the combined solutions not only address local area network barriers however also ffer the most robust E911 solution in the market."

This interoperability is a continuation of Conveyant Systems’ commitment to delivering secure, automated and affordable E911 solutions to its clients, according to Kenyon. "Receiving up-to-date VoIP location information from UniPhyer, combined with Sentry’s on-site notification capabilities when a 911 call has been made, provides our clients with an effective tool to help ensure they are prepared in an emergency. Clients can now realize the benefits from the features and functionality of both products for their VoIP telephone systems."
