
Siemens Enterprise, ScanTel forge tie-up
MANILA, Philippines - Siemens Enterprise Communication and ScanTel Inc. recently signed a memorandum of agreement for close cooperation to furthermore grow the business.
Marcelino Banaria Jr., country director of SEN Philippines, said, "We appointed ScanTel as our new distribution partner for our medium and large base voice communication systems due to their huge experience in the telecommunication and IT industry in the Philippines."
ScanTel will be the lead partner of the SEN business in charge of global and key accounts. It will complement the line of local SEN partners.
For his part, Salvador Castillo, president and CEO of ScanTel, said, "We are the right partner; our team has a vast experience in PABX, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and UC systems. I myself have more than three decades of experience in telecommunications here in the country. Our people come from various so then-known companies of the industry."
Banaria said, "One effect here will all the same be that clients acquiring a solution from SEN through our new partner ScanTel Inc. will realize substantial productivity enhancement and operating cost reduction related to green communication. We are now looking forward to the release of the new HiPath 4000 V6.0 in the middle of 2012."
