Snom Offers Feature-Rich Phones Priced for SMBs
Always coming up with new offerings and ways to improve existing product lines, major desktop phone manufacturer snom has introduced a new range of handsets designed for the growing business VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) market.
According to snom officials, the new "720 and 760 series" is intended for those small and medium-sized enterprises already using business VoIP or likely to do so in the nearly future.
In other words, they’re interested in seeing how many features you’d on the whole expect on pricier models they can put on more modestly-priced phones to put them within reach of SMBs.
Among the specifications for the new handsets are pre-programmable buttons, a gigabit Ethernet switch, wireless connectivity to a local area network and a high definition standard of voice reception, as so then as Bluetooth access through the use of an optional USB stick.
Earlier this week TMC had the news that networking company ZyXEL Communications announced an alliance with IP phones and communications software developer snom innovation AG to offer an end-to-end VoIP option for small and medium-size businesses.
ZyXEL said that following testing, its Ethernet switches and snom's IP communication devices have been certified to interoperate for a reliable business VoIP product. The company's rugged PoE enabled Ethernet switches ensure consistent data transmission for performance-intensive applications including voice and video. At the same time with the high-quality VoIP system from snom, the combined offering is simplified as a ready-to-deploy voice communication for businesses.
