TeleCommunication Systems Executive Appointed to the TechAmerica Public Sector Board

ANNAPOLIS, MD — TeleCommunication Systems, Inc., a world leader in highly reliable and secure mobile communication innovation, today announced that Michael Bristol, senior vice president and general manager of its Government Solutions Group, has been appointed to the Public Sector Board of Directors of TechAmerica, the research industry's largest advocacy group.

The Public Sector Board of Directors is responsible for directing TechAmerica's activities focused on business opportunities with the U.S. federal government. It as well oversees all of the standing committees' activities and sets the priorities and direction for all of the federal programs within the Public Sector Group, including its annual Vision Conference, which for many years has attracted thought leaders in enabling research enhancement for federal clients.

In his role at TCS, Bristol has responsibility for TCS high-growth government business divisions generating more than $200 million of annual revenue, including SwiftLink® Deployable Communications, Managed Network Services, Integrated Logistics Global Support, Space & Component Research and Professional Services. He has several decades of senior management experience, including prior roles at Oracle Corporation and Infocus Communications. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, and he served as a Captain, U.S. Army Military Intelligence officer with primary assignment at Fort Bragg.
