Tennessee Startup Reveals Completely New Business Computer System

A Nashville based research company, CrowdPC, is launching a completely new business computing platform. The system is now being offered to software developers.Nashville, Tennessee June 25, 2012

According to Ryan Quinn, the company's lead software developer, the new computing solution combines all new hardware, all new software, and a in a class by itself online services system to enable small businesses to have more flexible, secure, and capable computing usability than any current approach, at a cost of pursuant to this agreement $300.

The cloud computing platform down from the Internet

"CrowdPC moves the cloud computing platform down from the Internet and runs it directly inside local businesses," says Quinn. "This provides all of the benefits of cloud computing, just as no software maintenance and regular updates, without having a company's data locked into a proprietary remote system like happens today. All of a company's data remains in-house, as then as backed up off-site for safety."

The new platform requires businesses to install the company's $299 CrowdPC, a tiny ARM chip-based wireless web server, on the business premises. All of the business's software will at that time run on that small computer, and be accessed by any wireless capable device in the facility — just as smartphones, tablets, notebooks, or desktop PCs. Software bundled in the CrowdPC includes point-of-sale, CRM, accounting, and media management apps. Additional apps for any number of business uses will be available for download from the platform's online app store.

"We are a team of research pros from all over the world that has worked at the same time for six-years to reach this point," says Platform Evangelist, Sam Levin. "We believed that by combining inexpensive ARM chip based hardware with a new open source web based software approach we could create a radically better computing solution for small businesses. As we move into our developer recruitment phase today, we can all things considered talk about the project openly."

Crowdfunding project for the then

CrowdPC added that it is running a crowdfunding project for the then and there 30-days on Fundable.com to help in its developer recruitment efforts. These early developers have a chance to buy the computer and software tools needed to create business software apps at a significant discount, and get early access to the platform through that project.

Software developers interested in creating and selling business software for the new platform can subscribe to the company's early developer program through the Fundable project page, or, can contact the company directly from its web site.

The CrowdPC team makes it perfectly clear that their competitive target is the entire 30-year old ecosystem of PC-based hardware and software presently used in businesses.
