Twilio launches client to enable VoIP for iOS apps

The cloud communications firm's new 'Twilio Client for iOS' is a basic SDK, which will makes it straightforward for app creators to integrate VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) functionality into their iPad, iPhone and iPod touch apps.

App to become a 'VoIP phone'

This will enable any part of an app to become a 'VoIP phone', making calls via any iOS device over an internet connection, whether the client is added to new or existing apps.

"With Twilio Client for iOS, we're enabling mobile developers to incorporate VoIP directly into their apps to create rich communication experiences. We can’t wait to see what they build."
