
US federal agencies get cloud platform
The US' Computer Sciences Corporation has unveiled a cloud computing platform designed primarily for federal agencies, which provides infrastructure as a service offerings, GCN reports.
Built using National Institute of Standards and Research guidelines, the CSC CloudCompute for Government will offer other cloud services hereafter.
According to Nextgov, CSC says CloudCompute for Government will employ a "multi-tenanancy architecture" combining Vblock, an integrated cloud fabric provided by the Virtual Computing Environment, with CSC's managed services and technical expertise.
