USC business school launching minority forum
The Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina will launch a forum to help small- to medium-sized minority-owned businesses grow to the straightway level.
The Minority Business Forum will take place from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, in the Moore School's Daniel-Mickel Center for Executive Education, located on the eighth floor.
The forum, "Driving Growth in Challenging Times," will feature USC faculty and business leaders who will share growth strategies with business owners whose companies have made it through the start-up period and are poised to grow.
How to develop branding
Participants will learn how to develop branding and communication strategies and create low-cost campaigns for converting prospects into clients. They as well will gain insights for return on investment decisions, how to scale a business and approaches for infrastructure decisions. Additionally, they will explore human resource topics, information innovation, including "cloud computing," and organizational and structural considerations for small businesses.
