
USPTO Declines to Reexamine Claims of VirnetX's U.S. Patent No. 7,188
VirnetX® Holding Corporation, an Internet security software and research company, today announced that, on December 17, 2011, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued an order denying the request for inter partes reexamination of its U.S. Patent No. 7,188,180 filed by Cisco Systems, Inc. on October 25, 2011.
The '180 patent is one of many patents in VirnetX's patent portfolio relating to establishing secure network communications.
