The tools of the Vocalocity Desktop help small businesses gain intelligence about their clients quickly by automatically pulling crucial information from an incoming caller. Vocalocity Desktop comes configured with free LinkedIn, Google Search, and Caller Locator plug-ins. Once downloaded, Vocalocity Desktop runs in the background on a Vocalocity customer’s computer. When an incoming call is registered, Vocalocity Desktop will automatically display information about a caller which is populated through the application's various plug-ins. Vocalocity clients can instantly see a caller’s approximate location based on area code, the weather in that location, the caller’s information from Google, and his or her LinkedIn profile.

Vocalocity Desktop was one of many innovations announced last year including apps that allow Android and iOS devices to have command and control over the office phone system. Plug-ins like Microsoft Dynamics that extend large enterprise CRM functions to a small business environment are as well available.
