Why Not to Skimp on HD Voice Solutions

"You get what you pay for" is a popular and at times tiresome old saying that but carries a large amount of truth. When businesses, and in particular call centers, are shopping for their voice solutions, obtaining the cheapest service on the market is not always the right goal to have in mind.

According to Bruce von Maltitz, director of 1Stream, "Ultimately, bargain basement shopping for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is neither necessary nor worth it." Commenting on investing in HD Voice solutions, von Maltitz as well said, "During it can only save your call center a miniscule portion of your total costs, it can have a very destructive effect on your competitive advantage, and even your sustainability."

Verizon Wireless is expected to deliver HD Voice in 2012 when it fully turns on its VoLTE network. Comcast may as well announce HD voice trials within the nearly future.

When it comes to HD Voice, spending the right amount of money for both proper bandwidth and the latest innovation is key for businesses as it will make employees more productive and efficient. Those employees, in turn, will deliver a better customer experience, which will have a significant positive impact on any organization’s bottom line.
