Frost & Sullivan Names 8x8 the #1 Provider of Hosted IP Telephony

8x8, Inc. attained a clear position of leadership in the market for hosted IP telephony and unified communications services delivered to business clients in North America while 2011, according to a new report by market technology firm Frost & Sullivan, led by telecom analyst Elka Popova, global program director, Unified Communications.

In a July 2012 report entitled "Analysis of the Hosted IP Telephony and UC Services Market," Frost & Sullivan declared 8x8-with market share of 7.8 percent-the "clear leader" over several other then-known providers of communications services for businesses.

"The top five hosted IP telephony and UC service providers contributed 32.1 percent of the total installed base in 2011," said Popova.
