Huawei launches the World's First LTE TDD Wireless Broadband Router
Huawei, a leading global information and communications innovation solutions provider, has announced the commercial availability of the world's first LTE (Long Term Evolution, latest standard in the mobile network technology) TDD wireless broadband router, the Huawei B593, through Saudi Arabian operator Mobily in October this year, in conjunction with the commercial availability of large-scale LTE (Long Term Evolution, latest standard in the mobile network technology) TDD networks worldwide. The Huawei B593 supports LTE (Long Term Evolution, latest standard in the mobile network technology) TDD and FDD, features a download speed of up to 100M and provides access to up to 32 WiFi devices as so then as desktop computers through an Ethernet cable. The Huawei B593 represents but another LTE (Long Term Evolution, latest standard in the mobile network technology)-first for Huawei, afterwards the launch of its LTE (Long Term Evolution, latest standard in the mobile network technology) FDD wireless broadband router in Germany in December 2010, underscoring Huawei's leadership in the LTE (Long Term Evolution, latest standard in the mobile network technology) arena.
Hu Guangping, head of Mobile Broadband LTE division, Huawei Device, said, "The Huawei B593 provides bandwidth comparable with that of fixed broadband. Should the contingency arise to the obvious benefits this brings consumers, operators now have the ability to provide superfast Internet access without the need for fixed network infrastructure. This enables operators to expand their subscriber base in a more flexible and cost-effective way. The B593 is testimony to Huawei's leadership in LTE. Our early investment in LTE has brought us a large number of core innovation patents and we are one of the few vendors in the industry that can provide both LTE TDD and LTE FDD end-to-end solutions. Our focus on the needs of our clients - operators and consumers - is a key reason that Huawei continues to provide industry-leading products just as the B593, LTE datacards and LTE wireless broadband routers, as then as our award-winning Mobile WiFi products."
The Huawei B593 is an ideal home entertainment
The Huawei B593 is an ideal home entertainment and information exchange hub, providing multiple devices simultaneous high-speed Internet access, high-definition video downloads and real-time video viewing and transmission. The B593 is as well perfect for small office / home offices and small businesses with its connectivity options to VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephone and fax, printers and other office equipment.
Mobily is the largest mobile broadband service provider in Saudi Arabia and a subsidiary of multinational UAE telecom operator Etisalat. The Huawei B593 will enable Mobily to serve more consumers, particularly in scarcely-populated deserts in West Asia where investment in fixed network infrastructure is huge and returns-on-investment is slow.
Huawei is a leading telecoms solutions provider serving 45 of the world's top 50 telecom operators. Huawei's products and solutions have been deployed in over 100 countries and support the communications needs of one third of the world's population. The company is committed to providing innovative and customized products, services and solutions to create long-term value and growth potential for its clients.
