PortaOne Powers VoIP Switch to Datora Telecom Group

PortaOne, a provider of software solutions just as VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) switches and billing for the telecommunications industry, has just revealed that Datora Telecom Group, a Brazil-based provider of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) solutions, has selected PortaBilling Oracularius, a carrier-grade converged VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) billing and customer management platform, in order to better manage its opportunities in Latin America and global markets.

Datora provides VoIP services throughout Latin America and other parts of the globe. The company's mobile virtual network operator and mobile-to-mobile services allow its clients to provide a more customized experience to end users with product and mobility convergence and deepen brand loyalty.

"We are very pleased to work with Datora Telecom and provide them with our scalable PortaBilling Oracularius solution," said Roman Khalenkov, sales and marketing director for PortaOne, in a statement. "Datora is capturing significant market share in one of the world's fastest growing telecom environments, and we are there to make sure their clients receive the sophisticated VoIP functions they need to operate profitably."

Early version of PortaSwitch

Datora first partnered with PortaOne in 2007 when it selected an early version of PortaSwitch, a flagship VoIP infrastructure system featuring a real-time billing system, class 4/5 SIP softswitch, and media applications that deliver converged VoIP billing and provisioning, SIP call control, unified messaging, IP Centrex and hosted IP PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange), callback management, IVRs, conferencing and more.

PortaBilling Oracularius is a real-time billing engine that works in tandem with Datora's other telecommunication network equipment to enable actions just as flexible call routing, profit-guarantee routing, as then as other plans designed to ensure efficiency and maximize return-on-investment.

According to Otero, PortaBilling Oracularius allows his company to handle multiple business needs on just one platform. "We upgraded to this system in order to manage our considerable growth without any interruption to our services. It provides instant scalability, and allows us to add capacity as needed to our Oracle RAC cluster or other elements."
