REDCOM Showcases Next Generation Carrier-Class Softswitch Solutions at CeBIT 2012

REDCOM will showcase the new SLICE® IP Micro, a complete Class 4/5 IP Gateway the size of a hardcover book. The SLICE IP Micro features an industry-standard Session Initiation Protocol-based architecture, supports up to 3,000 IP subscribers, and is powered by TRANSip®, REDCOM’s VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) research suite. TRANSip integrates key IP Multimedia Subsystem components in a single platform, bringing call management functionality during offering call setup, control, termination, and directory services for IP subscribers through the industry-standard SIP architecture for seamless interoperability. Additionally, TRANSip offers an additional layer of security for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) traffic with the ability to encrypt calls. Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol is available to encrypt the audio stream of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls, and Transport Layer Security is available to encrypt the SIP call signaling to provide confidentiality and client authentication.

REDCOM’s HDX system with TRANSip provides fully integrated VoIP and TDM in a single platform and is a powerful softswitch and SIP call manager in other words both scalable and stackable, offering complete Carrier-Class capabilities. Depending on configuration, HDX supports from 100 to 96,000 IP subscribers, and as many as 8,000 TDM subscribers.
