The time to load online video

Today’s streaming capabilities dramatically decrease the time to load online video, reducing the risk of losing a customer’s attention span. Tools just as VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), videoconferencing and IMing are rapidly combining with IP video applications, online presentations and video on-demand to provide marketing with a worldwide platform. Tony Hart, a marketing video service provider consultant with The Experts Bench London, believes, “The continuing strong trend in the telecom industry is for video to become ubiquitous, and all video to be delivered over IP to any device anytime, anywhere.”

According to the Experts Bench survey, 80% of companies utilizing video in their marketing campaigns are using or intend to use YouTube. And according to Forrester Technology, web pages with video have a 50% better chance showing up on the first page of Google than pages with just text. "Video is an integral part of the SEO attack plan for all businesses...it’s becoming more evident that you either have to participate or risk your competitors doing so and getting the jump on you,” explains Chris Horton, a SEO/SEM analyst for Jim Ellis Automotive Dealerships. To support that growth, YouTube now charges “per view” advertising rates instead of “per click”.
