VSC Solutions Partners with VOIPFUTURE to Offer Unparalleled Voice Quality SLA
VSC Solutions is pleased to announce our appointment as a reseller for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)FUTURE solutions in Asia-Pacific. The partnership with VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)FUTURE enables VSC Solutions to incorporate a new tool for voice quality assurance that offers a real-time detailed picture of the quality of carried VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) traffic. Additionally, the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)FUTURE tool provides a deep insight in the network performance to help pinpoint the probable causes of voice quality degradation in a network.(PRWEB) March 29, 2012
“The real-time call quality metrics support enhanced routing logic and right-sizing of your network resources. Accurate and timely traffic performance can help to reduce network utilization resulting in a CAPEX savings, during an overall improvement in voice quality contributes significantly to a positive customer experience and level of satisfaction,” stated YN Pong, CTO of VSC Solutions.
The VOIPFUTURE call correlation process matches VoIP signaling sessions with the media streams belonging to the session and in substance maps a subscriber ID to call quality. The patent pending correlation mechanism matches multiple media streams including those from early media; like ring tones or tariff announcements, codec changes and network address translation impaired sources to the correct signaling session.
The resulting xDRs contain unmitigated information on the call quality on a per direction basis with a five second granularity with full subscriber details - unrivaled in the VoIP monitoring/voice assurance market.
The ability to group
“Giving our clients the ability to group, filter, aggregate and compare call quality data was high on our agenda for the new release,” stated Michael Krueger, Head of Innovation and Development of VOIPFUTURE. He added “Our solution takes service assurance for NGN, IMS and LTE (Long Term Evolution, latest standard in the mobile network technology) networks to a whole new level.”
The challenge of any voice quality SLA is to match voice media quality with phone numbers. Phone numbers, subscriber IDs, routes, destinations etc. are the focal points of service contracts. As voice media is transported independent from the signaling data, matching these data is not easy nevertheless crucial. Dr. Michael Wallbaum, Director of Product Marketing at VOIPFUTURE said, “Service providers in Asia-Pacific can now implement and enforce service level agreements on media quality in a very natural way. MOS and R-Factor per SIP trunk, customer or numbering plan entry now is just a click away.”
The VOIPFUTURE system is designed to monitor the quality of voice services in IP networks. It consists of passive RTP monitoring probes and a central application manager platform with a data warehouse. The probes are typically deployed at network borders and connected to up to four links in a non-intrusive manner. The probes analyze all RTP streams in real-time and provide over 400 dedicated voice metrics for each 5 second segment of each stream. The analysis is based on a in a class by itself combination of packet flow analysis and deep packet inspection which allows determination of root causes and diagnostics data. All data is stored in VOIPFUTURE quality data records and maintained by the application manager which post-processes the information and offers a graphical interface to the users.
The detailed QDR information provides the foundation for the integrated voice quality evaluation and troubleshooting innovation. Applications of the VOIPFUTURE system include network performance and VoIP customer experience monitoring. The VOIPFUTURE solution enables communication service providers to detect and correlate impairments originating from network equipment or end user devices, providing a complete view of each call. This enables CSPs to offer premium voice services as then as to meet stringent voice SLAs and document their performance.
The carrier-grade solution offers leading real time analysis performance, with up to 42,000 simultaneously monitored calls per probe on up to four links. One Gigabit links can be monitored at full line rate; monitoring of 10 Gbit/s interfaces is as well supported. The centralized application manager controls all probes and is capable of processing hundreds of millions of call minutes per day. After all, the VOIPFUTURE solution is cost-effective as it makes efficient use of standard servers with multi-CPU and multi-core architecture.
VOIPFUTURE delivers carrier-grade leading edge research to monitor and analyze voice quality in IP networks. Target clients include carriers, large enterprises, managed service providers and NGN vendors. VOIPFUTURE’s innovative RTP Monitoring solution is characterized by high performance, precision and vendor independence. Flexible deployment options and open interfaces provide for various applications including VoIP troubleshooting, network optimization, inter-provider peering and customer SLA monitoring. VOIPFUTURE was founded as a Siemens spin-off in early 2007 in Hamburg, Germany and major investors are Hasso Plattner Ventures and KfW Bank.
